• LRRC15 is a TGFβ-regulated structural protein.1
  • It is highly expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in the stromal microenvironment of many solid tumors.1

Implications in cancer

Solid tumors that express LRRC15 include1:

  • Lung
  • Pancreatic
  • Breast
  • Head & neck

LRRC15 is also directly expressed on cancer cells in some tumors of mesenchymal origin, such as1:

  • Sarcoma
  • Glioblastoma
  • Melanoma

Stromal LRRC15 expression is observed on both primary tumors as well as at metastatic sites.1

  • Normal tissue expression of LRRC15 is limited to mesenchymal cells in restricted tissue types.1

Breast Cancer

  • LRRC15 is highly expressed on CAFs in the stromal microenvironment of breast cancer.1

Brain Cancer

  • Glioblastoma cancer cells directly express LRRC15.1
